Slates, metamorphic rocks formed through the metamorphism of clays, are characterised by their schistosity — breaking into thin layers — and their dark or silvery colour depending on their iron oxide content. The parcel lies on ancient slate soils, with mixed plantings of traditional varieties, dry-farmed at high altitude. These soils impart the grapes with a deep, earthy and mineral character, typical of this type of formation.

Traditional winemaking with minimal intervention to let the soil speak. Whole-cluster fermentation and neutral ageing aim for transparency and precision. This micro-vinification represents the “earth” archetype within our terroirist journey.
Intense aromas of black and red fruit, dried herbs and graphite. The palate is firm, with marked structure, tension and a deep mineral backbone. A wine that evokes the contained power of slate.
