Viticulture

It comes from vineyards in Valtuille de Abajo (El Bierzo), farmed with the artisanal and respectful approach that defines Raúl Pérez’s work. His philosophy has been key in reviving traditional viticulture and winemaking methods in Spain, paving the way for a new generation of inspired growers.

Winemaking

A few months ago, we traveled to Valtuille to select a special wine for The Garage Wine Club members. We were looking for a white that clearly expressed Raúl’s style and the unique terroir of El Bierzo.

Raúl opened all the barrels for us, letting us taste each one to find the perfect match for our vision: a wine that’s direct, sapid, and pure. The result is this unique single-barrel bottling of Ultreia Blanco, made exclusively for the club.

Tasting notes

Pale lemon-yellow color. Aromas of lemon peel, orange blossom, flint, and a subtle smoky touch. The palate is fresh, direct, and very saline, with a mineral yet creamy texture. Long, elegant, and precise, it perfectly reflects both El Bierzo’s character and Raúl Pérez’s craftsmanship.
