“From small plots
come great bottles…”

Saint Frontonio. According to legend, he was decapitated as punishment for his Christian faith; his head was thrown into the River Ebro in Zaragoza, and his body was buried in the cemetery, as well the custom of the time for those who had been executed. A miracle occurred when the head, going upstream along the River Ebro, appeared on the banks of the River Jalón, in the Épila area. The miracle led to Épila choosing Frontonio as its patron saint, since Saint Frontonio chose Épila as his final resting place. Thinking big, swimming against the tide, and working for a dream all make for marvellous wines. Each grape, each stone, each drop of water is important when we enliven these micro-wines. They are like our family. Each bottle is part of something unique that begins and ends.”
